Die Prognosen von Hamed Abdel-Samad und Samuel P. Huntington zeigen unterschiedliche Tendenzen der Entwicklung und werden bewusst nicht miteinander verglichen, da dem Leser die probability ermöglicht werden soll eigene Fragestellungen zu formulieren, um diese als Impulse weiterzuentwickeln.

Daher strukturiert sich die Modularbeit in zwei große Hauptteile, wobei im ersten Teil zuerst die Prognose von Hamed Abdel-Samad und im zweiten Teil die Prognose von Samuel P.
